• North West Growth Centre

Mungerie Park Zone Substation is due to be operational towards the second half of 2010. This $37.1m substation will help Integral Energy meet the electricity supply requirements of the Rouse Hill Regional Centre development and the surrounding areas.

Rouse Hill Switching Station is due to be operational towards the second half of 2010. This $13m investment is required to facilitate the distribution of the 132kV network within the North West Sector.

• South West Growth Centre

Draft Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for Nepean Zone Substation was issued for community comment in February 2010. Construction of the substation located on Springs Road is due to commence later this year. This $19.9m project is an essential requirement for the long term development of the Spring Farm area.

Draft REF for the $17m Oran Park - Nepean transmission line (from Lodges Road to the new propsed Oran Park Zone Substation on The Northern Road) was issued for community comment in February 2010. Works are due to commence in early 2011.

Works on the Oran Park Mobile Zone Substation have commenced. The commissioning date for the substation will be early 2011. This is a temporary zone substation that will be in operation until the permanent zone substation is built within the next 2-5 years, depending on electricity demand.
